Look what I did!  I made art!
It’s been (almost) five years since I graduated college and I have barely picked up a pencil to draw.  I blame this on several reasons: 1. I have a job that I love and am quite passionate about, 2. I look at hundreds of illustrations every day and when it comes to my own art I am completely discouraged and insecure, 3. I don’t want to make a mess in my apartment with all my supplies, 3. these are all bad excuses and it’s all in my head.
So when my friend Meg asked me to finish a drawing that I had done over the summer I didn’t think any of these reasons were good enough to say no.  So I said yes.  And to put a stop to my brain saying ‘you can’t do this’ I went a got a Wacom tablet and took a quick lesson on how to paint digitally.  And here is the finished product!
